For over a decade, I worked as a tattoo artist in Porto — telling stories on skin, one composition at a time. Every piece meant paying close attention to light, form, and the story someone wanted told. When I stopped tattooing, that eye didn't go away. It just found a new medium.
Today I photograph
people the way I used to design tattoos: paying attention to what's real, not what's staged. Couples walking through Porto without thinking about the camera. A hand reached out mid-laugh. The light hitting the Douro just before it disappears.
How I shoot
I work in a documentary and fine art style — minimal direction, maximum authenticity. If you're looking for a photographer who'll pose you into stiffness, I'm probably not the right fit. If you want photos that actually look like your relationship, your trip, your family — that's what I do.
Based in Porto
I’m based in Porto, Portugal, and shoot throughout the city and the Douro Valley.
